When a marine spill occurs, the speed of response is crucial. Skill and organization of response teams are critical to the success of it. The territorial contingency plan for accidental marine pollution in Galicia (CAMGAL plan) provides numerous protocols and involves different groups of action to deal with cases of accidental spills that occur on our shores. It is essential that all of them are sufficiently tested in simulated scenarios so that when the time comes to face the real cases, the answer is quick and effective. This video reviews the different types of exercises that are usually done under the Territorial contingency plan for accidental marine pollution in Galicia and is illustrated with a case study is done.
