After presenting his first collection prêt-à-porter in Paris over 25 years ago, he is still a success. The career of Roberto Verino, born in Ourense and trained in Paris, is full of triumphs and awards, such as the "Aguja de Oro" received in 1992. Years later, he was awarded the "T de Telva" prize for the best Spanish designer and Best Collection in Cibeles, and since then he has expanded his collections to man, denim, parfums and even entered the enology world. An exhibition was held in 2007 in Madrid, which later moved to New York, to celebrate his brand's 25th anniversary. In 2008, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts for his lifetime's work. Over 56 shops worldwide and as many boutiques in Spanish shopping centres, as well as his presence in the most recognized international fashion circuits since the 1980s, make this designer an icon in the world of fashion "made in Galicia".
