Biological Invasions. Through this 3D animation video, the laboratory of Ecology and Evolution of plants and Divulgare Group at the University of Vigo intended to show which are the causes and mechanisms by which a species, apparently well balanced in its natural distribution area, can become a "dangerous" invasive when moved to another geographic area. Also shows some of the implications that this phenomenon can have on colonized ecosystems and infrastructures. To this end, we have used one of the clearest examples of biological invasion in Spain: the zebra mussel (Dreissena polymorpha).
