The first half of the workshop will present examples and methods for mapping, measuring and valuing natural capital in an applied context. The final two sections will introduce NatCap’s InVEST toolkit and offer hands-on practice and discussion on relevant topics including scenario development, data preparation using GIS software, running InVEST models, and how to interpret results. A final focus will be a problem set that teaches effective ways to visualize and communicate natural capital information to stakeholders.
