Part 1

This workshop advances in the composition of a sound documentary by the Transnational Story Hub team at Vigo University. Prof. Merlinda Bobis provides a theoretical background to the key concepts in this project and helps the students to organize their sound recordings in order to create a five minute production. Instructions are given on the narrative procedure to build up a micro story from a given sound piece and how to link separate scenes using a recurrent linking motif. Students exercise writing a sound script for the technicians at the studio to work on their creative pieces. In a studio session, students work with a technician and produce a three minute piece each.
