Marine ecosystems provide great benefits to society. New management approaches are needed to maintain a sustainable basis, the benefits that people need. The course will introduce students to the major concepts and theory of ecosystem services (ES), providing examples of marine and coastal ecosystems. mapping techniques and other quantifications will also be used and practical exercises will be made.
