The course examines the most important aspects in the atmosphere-ocean interaction plays a decisive role. They consider both local effects, with special emphasis on the Iberian Peninsula, as other more global dimension. Forcers modes will study ocean variability or coupled between the atmosphere and ocean, with emphasis on the processes of coupling: wind stress, evaporation-precipitation, and radiation. Interactions between different ocean basins will be analyzed through the atmosphere, with special emphasis on the connection between the Tropical Pacific and the North Atlantic El Niño and La Niña. Finally, the feedback mechanisms between ocean and atmosphere in the context of global change and changes in waves and hurricanes regimes will be studied.
