The designer María Barros (A Coruña, 1980) studied at the Instituto Europeo dei Design (Madrid). During her education, she collaborated with companies such as Cadea or Modesto Lomba. She moved to Milan in the year 2000 to complete her studies, where she made her final project under the direction of Franca Sozzani (director of Vogue Italia), a project selected by Wella Lobacos Italia to have its first fashion show at the city of Milan. At only 21 years old, María Barros got the Moët & Chandon Your Fashion Award in collaboration with the Camera Nazionalle della Moda Italiana (2001, Milan), which brought her the opportunity to participate at Milan Fashion Week, where she presented her collection "From Nature to Art", in a show organized by the Camera Nazionalle della moda Italiana. After these beginnings, she joined Pupi Solari's team at Milan, and later on she joined Roberto Cavalli's in Florence. In 2003 she creates her own firm, Ëiroa by María Barros, which has participated in Pasarela Gaudí at Barcelona, in Milan Fashion Week since September 2004 and performed several events at the Fashion Work Library Club. She frequently collaborates with other firms, such as Swarovski or Munich.
